An Experienced and Professional Tutor
Hi, I'm Claire! I'm an experienced tutor and teacher with almost 12 years of teaching experience who loves to work with young people! I work as a Key Stage 2 teacher at an award-winning prep school in North London where I specialise in Maths, English and learning support.
Experience: I have tutored online for many years and I am able to tailor a lesson to a specific student - making our lessons interactive and fun. I am DBS checked, a qualified teacher and have many positive references from parents and students I have taught over the years. I have worked in 3 different international teaching systems, having spent years working in South Korea and South Africa. However, over the last few years, I have worked in London teaching and supporting children in Key stage 2.
How I teach online: I work with an iPad Pro and Apple pen to ensure my students experience high quality online learning. Through the use of my Apple pen, I can demonstrate maths problems or correct paragraphs as organically as I would on paper or a classroom board. I aim to use platforms such as ATOM, Century Tech, Mathletics, Literacy Planet and many more to enhance my lessons. Many years of tutoring has allowed me to refine my methods to ensure a professional and polished lesson. Each parent recieves a monthly feedback report as well as a free online consultation at the beginning of our online journey.
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy staying active through Zumba and exploring new recipes in the kitchen. I am an avid reader and traveller, often spending my holidays jumping on a plane and heading to a beautiful beach in another country.
